About Musikförläggarna

Musikförläggarna is a non-profit trade organization representing 72 music publishers working in the territory of Scandinavia including Greenland and the Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania). Musikförläggarna was founded in 1928 and is one of the founders of the Swedish collecting society STIM.

Musikförläggarna's Code of Conduct shall be followed by the members of Musikförläggarna and its purpose is to maintain a good quality among the members and to promote good relationships with other operators in the music business and with organizations and authorities connected to the music business.

Musikförläggarna is involved in all areas concerning music publishing and represent and inform its members on issues such as copyright law and regulations, new media and technologies and the Swedish music industry in general.

Musikförläggarna is a member of ICMP, The International Confederation of Music Publishers, an umbrella trade organization working from Brussels.

Musikförläggarna is also the organizer of The Swedish MPA Awards, an annual award that honors Swedish songwriters, lyricists and composers of both popular and classical music in 9 different categories.
